Waste Oil systems are designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible. With interior space at such a premium, storage tanks are being installed outdoors. This creates the issue of getting waste fluids from portable drains into the storage tank. Indoor pump systems connected to outdoor tanks require monitoring to eliminate the possibility of overfilling tanks that are not in sight while pumping is in progress.

Tankmaster Overfill protection devices offer a failsafe system to prevent overfilling. The Tankmaster devices monitors the fluid level in the tank at near full and full levels. At near full level there is a visual alarm that indicates the waste oil recycler will need to be contacted to have the tank emptied.

When the tank full level is reached visual and audible alarms are activated and the air supply to the pump in interrupted to avoid overfilling the tank. As long as the tank remains at the full level these alarms will be activated as soon as the system is turned on.

Pumping systems mounted indoors are connected to portable oil drains by means of dry-break quick disconnects allowing the contents of the drain to be transferred to the storage tank without the need to “pour” the fluid into the tank.
